PT. Argo Pantes Tbk is the flagship company of Argo Manunggal Group, one of Indonesia’s largest business enterprises. Over the years the Group has consolidated its position as a leader in the business community with its diverse activities encompassing textiles, steels, real estate and property development, financial services, cocoa plantations, poultry, PVC pipes, tires and containers. In the textile division, the group has 20 companies, with 685,430 spindles and total production of 69000 bales/months.
PT Argo Pantes Tbk. was established in 1977 and since 1991 has been listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange. Argo Pantes has grown into a leading integrated textile manufacturer, with its spinning, weaving, yarn dyeing, piece dyeing and finishing operations being among the biggest and finest in Indonesia today. The underlying commitment of the company has been to provide high quality products, delivered on time at competitive prices. This is achieved by the continuous investment in people and machineries.
In 1997, the company achieved the ISO 9002 Certification issued by SGS Indonesia. This portrayed the quality conscious culture of the organization and helped the company to increase export sales to international markets. Today, export sales have reached 80% and cover more than 2000 International Customers in 40 Countries Worldwide.
PT Argo Pantes supports a responsible environment programme in all its production facilities. To date, the company has invested a total Rp. 7 billion in waste water treatment and air pollution control. In addition to the installation of new environment hardware, the company has adopted ongoing measures to reduce waste, lower energy consumption and recycle resource. Regular inspections are made to ensure strict adherence to environmental audit regulations. The environmental programme has also resulted in the production of fabrics that meet world recognized environmental standards.
