History of Company

Sanko Group, which started its operations with a simple hand-loom in 1904, is continuing its business activities with the same energy and confidence of the first day. Sanko has been actively involved in textile business for five generations. Since the beginning of the 1990s , Sanko group has diversified its business areas in both the national and international platforms. Today, the group consists of many companies and employs over 14,000 people. The companies are active in textiles, construction, finance, packaging, energy, food, construction machinery, climatization, information technology, health care and education areas..

Operations

SPINNING: Sanko Textile was established in 1943. The main product lines are yarns and knitted fabrics. Today, the yarn plants have over 700,000 spindles and OE rotors for yarn production. The total production area is 1.000,000 m2 of which 550,000 m2 is enclosed. Daily yarn production capacity is 300 tons of yarn per day. 15 tons of capacity is 100% cotton mélange, 15 tons in blended yarns, 30 tons in OE production and rest is RS Production. .

KNITTING: With the most advanced and modern equipment and near 400 circular knitting machines with 10 up to 48 inch diameter, plants of Sanko Textile have the biggest production capacity in Turkey. SANKO also produces 150 tons of knitted fabric per day.

DENIM: İSKO, established in 1989, is an innovative DENIM fabric producer with the capacity to produce about 200 million meters of fabrics per year. Its 330,000 m2 factory is located in İnegol/Bursa-Turkey.

TOWELS: SANKO' s towel production facilities were established in 1998 with capacity of 4,000 tons /year. Sanko Towel & Bathrobe factory is fully integrated with weaving-dyeing and cutting & stitching machines. Sanko towel operates in 50,.000 square meter closed area. Sanko towel continuously improves the business process by using the most recent technologies. Sanko towel increased the capacity to 5,000 tons/year in 2007.

HOME TEXTILES: Knitting: 15,000 tons/year with 165 circular knitting machines in various widths from 19"up to 48" with SANKO manufactured yarns (http://www.sankotextile.com) in counts from Ne 16/1 to Ne 60/1. Fabrics with Lycra/elastane can be knitted on "open width" knitting machines. Printing: 30,000,000 - 36,000,000 mt/yr both rotary and flat, in reactive, pigment, discharge and disperse printing. Sanko Corlu is among the few printers working in 20 colors on rotary press. Dyeing: High Temperature Dyeing: 6,000 tons/year - Pad Batch Dyeing: 6,000,000 meters/year Stitching: 6,250,000 Fitted sheets/year - 1,400,000 Bed sets/year - 2,000,000 Pillow Covers/year
